SOMETHING HOT – In January 2026 I return to the CantinaJazz stage after more than two years away. My work with CantinaJazz begins with sound, lyrics and rhythm, and tries to develop in a true dialogue with wine and food, never as background elements but as equal partners. For this event, I explore the idea of “spicy” in music — not as a metaphor, but as energy, friction, and contrast within the musical form itself. I am joined by a long-standing ensemble: Moraldo Marcheschi on saxophone, Andrea Garibaldi on piano, Nino “Swing” Pellegrini on double bass, and Marco Simoncini on drums. Together we move through jazz, swing, and theatrical colors in a repertoire conceived specifically for this lunch-time event. The journey concludes with a medley of Kurt Weill songs paired with Scutum 2023 (IGT Toscana Rosso) from Tenuta La Macchia, where music and wine meet on equal ground and shape each other’s perception.
