CantinaJazz: Note d’Enotria
🎼 In concerto — CantinaJazz Quintet:
🎤 Emiliano Loconsolo — voce e direzione artistica
🎷 Moraldo Marcheschi — sax
🎹 Daniele Gorgone — piano
🎸 Matteo Anelli — contrabbasso
🥁 Marco Simoncini — batteria

CantinaJazz: Note d’Enotria
A new CantinaJazz night at Il Fortino — and this time the music heads south. Note d’Enotria is a tribute to Calabria, the ancient Enotria of Magna Graecia: home to some of Italy’s oldest vineyards, and cradle to musicians who helped bring jazz to this country — Lino Patruno, among the first to build a big band, chief among them.
That’s where the evening’s musical thread begins: a quintet among the richest in sound CantinaJazz has ever brought to the stage, set the task of tracing — in notes — the bridge between the aromas of Calabria’s great white wines and jazz. A challenge more than a pairing.
🎼 Live — CantinaJazz Quintet:
🎤 Emiliano Loconsolo — vocals & artistic direction
🎷 Moraldo Marcheschi — sax
🎹 Daniele Gorgone — piano
🎸 Matteo Anelli — double bass
🥁 Marco Simoncini — drums
Alongside the music, an all-Calabrian journey: great whites from native grapes — pecorello and mantonico, almost unseen in Tuscany — presented by the AIS Pisa delegation and interpreted by Il Fortino’s kitchen “à la calabrese.” Rounded off with Caffè Trinci coffee.
