Renown Italian pianist Riccardo Arrighini explores, through fascinating and original arrangements, the music of the most sought after soundtrack composer: Ennio Morricone.
The repertoire includes soundtracks from timeless movies by Sergio Leone “Once Upon a Time in the West”, “Duck You Sucker!”, “A Fistful of Dollars” and by award winning Giusebbe Tornatore’s “Cinema Paradiso”. The album features specifically written lyrics by vocalist Michela Lombardi and Emiliano Loconsolo.
This is certainly the most ambitious project Mr. Arrighini made in his long career: the production of “Nothin’ but Morricone” involved 3 vocalists, 10 strings, guitar, accordion, flute, soprano sax, oboe, percussions and rhythm section and required almost 6 months of studio work. This lush-sounding album will be released on SOUNDGEANCE Records.
