— Emi

A new collaboration I’m glad to share. For a while now I’ve been working alongside Marco Rosati, a Pisa singer-songwriter with a long history behind him — twenty-five years of music in bands like Ten Thousand Names and Electric Sheeps, and opening slots for Verdena, Giorgio Canali, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti — who this year released his first solo album, Canzoni a Psiche.
I first got to know Marco as a videomaker: the beautiful footage shot at the Lumière in Pisa during CantinaJazz is his — and his musical talent turned out to be a wonderful surprise!
Marco is the lead voice, and I harmonise his lines, improvise counterpoint, whistle, and do my best trumpet impression. It’s all play and great fun. A bit like what I used to do in Berlin with Electric Ghost (Chris Daub), up until last June: him the songwriter and lead voice, me the sidekick and improviser. A role that intrigues me no end, and one I happily bring alongside anyone who writes good songs.
Debut on Friday 16 October 2026. Details in the calendar.
See you there. — Emi
